Domestic security forces have exposed the attempts of Russian billionaire Gennady Timchenko, a member of Putin’s inner circle, to trade gas with the EU under the cover of companies owned by a businessman from Samarkand – reports the Ukrainian news site NEW Voice
The Russians are trying to implement new schemes for supplying natural gas from Central Asian countries to Europe under the cover of Uzbek business.
NV was informed about this by sources in the security structures of Ukraine.
According to the publication’s interlocutors, Russian representatives are currently negotiating the direction of Asian gas via several routes to Europe, including the Trans-Caspian ” corridor” through Azerbaijan and the gas transportation system through Ukraine.
